March 25

Aid call: 9:02 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters treated a man who had fallen from a horse, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

March 26

Aid call: 4:04 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters evaluated and treated a man who had been changing a tire when he injured his lower back, and then transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.

March 27

Cardiac arrest: 3:27 p.m. (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County Medic One Paramedics started CPR on a young woman in cardiac arrest and regained a pulse within about 10 minutes. King County Medic One then transported the woman to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

Aid call: 2:46 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters treated two individuals for severe dog bites. King County Medic One Paramedics further evaluated one of the victims before private ambulances transported one of them to Harborview Medical Center and the other to Valley Medical Center.

Gas leak: 7:54 a.m. (Auburn). VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a natural gas odor within a structure, where they quickly identified the source as a faulty valve on the building’s gas meter. Puget Sound Energy was notified, and no evacuation of the building was deemed necessary.

Aid call: 7:21 a.m. (Lakeland Hills). VRFA firefighters evaluated and treated a woman who had suffered injuries during an assault. The woman declined transport and remained with Auburn Police during their investigation.

March 30

Vehicle collision: 2:58 a.m. (Pacific). VRFA firefighters responded to a report of a two-car, head-on injury accident on Highway 167. One vehicle was reported to be traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and struck another vehicle. Both drivers were transported to Harborview Medical Center, one by King County Medic One and the other by Airlift Northwest.
