The inaugural Valley Regional Fire Authority Firefighters Benevolent Fund “Fighting Cancer” Charity Pancake Breakfast is April 29.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Lakeland Hills Fire Station No. 33, 500 182nd Ave. E., Auburn.

Firefighters and the community come together to raise money to beat cancer. Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The public can view the engine and the dive boat and chat with the firefighters.

Cost is a suggested $10 donation.
