The Middle Green River Coalition showed up in full force for its fifth annual cleanup effort, which began in and around Flaming Geyser State Park.

Volunteers collected sacks full of garbage along several miles of the river.

“At the end of a two-three mile section of river, we had a mountain of garbage, including three discarded rafts,” said Lisa Parsons, of the MGRC, whose goal is to protect the middle Green River and its tributaries.
