Algona residents James and Anna Ogar will watch volunteers from the Master Builders Care Foundation construct a free wheelchair ramp at their home on May 14 for the 18th annual Rampathon event.

The event will bring hundreds of Master Builders Association member volunteers to construct free wheelchair ramps for disabled, low-income homeowners all on one day.

Wes Guyer and Michelle Baker of Quadrant Homes are “co-ramp captains” responsible for recruiting volunteer builders, soliciting donated materials and coordinating overall construction of the ramp. Since 1993, volunteers have constructed more than 300 wheelchair ramps in King and Snohomish Counties

The Master Builders Care Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Comprised of more than 3,300 companies, the Master Builders Association is the nation’s oldest and largest local home builders association in the nation.
