Dr. Dave Reich, King County’s chief economist, briefed South King County community leaders on the economic projections for the region in 2014 during a Good Eggs Breakfast.
Among the areas covered in this morning’s discussion, Reich discussed the positive projections for job growth and the rise of home values in greater King County.
“I am pleased with the signs of economic recovery in South King County,” said King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer, who hosted the breakfast. “Creating new jobs and improving home values remains my top priority.”
Reich directs the Office of Economic and Financial Analysism, which is responsible for the official economic and revenue projections used in the county’s budget process.
Prior to joining King County, Reich worked as a consultant in the private sector and for state of Washington. He earned his undergraduate degree and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Washington, as well as a master’s in civil engineering from UCLA.
