Between Nov. 4 and Nov. 10, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 252 calls for service, among which were the following:

Nov. 4

Illegal burn: 7:17 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters extinguished a small warming-cooking fire for a homeless camp along the Interurban Trail, and then advised the homeless gentleman about the warming center in town.

Nov. 5

Accident with CPR: 4:05 p.m., (North Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to a report of a semi-truck into a guardrail on Highway 167, and finding the Washington State Patrol and an off-duty Kent Police Officer performing CPR on the driver, took over treatment before medics hurried the middle-aged man to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Nov. 6

Aid call: 8:40 a.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters quickly evaluated a middle-aged man who was suffering a possible stroke, and a private ambulance scooted him off to MAMC.

Nov. 7

Aid call: 1:56 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a senior citizen who was dealing with a medical issue, and a private ambulance zipped him off to MAMC for further treatment.

Nov. 8

A id call: 1:40 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics helped a young girl who was having an allergic reaction to seafood but who had already received an epinephrine shot from the school nurse. The girl did not require further treatment.

Nov. 9

Aid call: 1:53 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters treated a middle-aged man who was complaining of an irregular heartbeat, and a private ambulance hustled him to MAMC.

Nov. 10

ATV accident: 3:19 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a boy who’d sustained injuries in an ATV accident, and medics motored him to MAMC.
