Aid call: 5:42 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters evaluated an Auburn senior citizen who was struggling to catch his breath, and King County Medics transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

April 5

Vehicle fire: 6:55 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Having responded to a report of a burning vehicle at a home, firefighters found an engine fire that the homeowner had already drowned with a garden hose. Firefighters confirmed the fire had not spread to the residence.

Aid call: 5:17 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters treated an elderly woman who was struggling to breathe, and a private ambulance scooted her off to a local hospital.

April 7

Aid call: 7:30 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a man who was having an epileptic seizure, but finding him alert, they examined and left him in his own care.

Aid call: 12:09 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to a man who had fallen down several steps backward, sustaining a severe head injury. Medics treated the man and hurried him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Stove fire: 9:38 p.m., (Auburn). Having responded to a fire that had flared up on a stove top and spread into nearby cabinetry, firefighters found that the resident had already used a home fire extinguisher to snuff out the conflagration.
