Between Jan. 20 and 26, the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 208 calls for service, among which were the following:

Jan. 20

Accident: 3:15 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters hustling to the aftermath of a rear-end automobile accident on southbound Highway 167 at the Ellingson Road exit found a young man complaining of neck and back pain. An aid unit transported the man to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Jan. 21

Aid call: 4:16 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters assessed an Auburn senior who’d been complaining of weakness and then transported her to MAMC for more treatment and evaluation.

Jan. 22

Car fire: 3:11 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters hurring to a reported motorhome fire learned from the motorhome’s new owner that the vehicle had overheated, wasn’t on fire, and that he didn’t need their help.

Jan. 23

Aid call: 10:16 a.m., (Pacific). After firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a young woman in the throes of a seizure, a private ambulance transported her to an area hospital.

Jan. 24

Smoke investigation: 1:13 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters boogied to a report of smoke from a remote area on the south side of the White River, found a campfire and put it out.

Jan. 25

Aid call: 3:08 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to a report of an elderly man feeling dizzy and finding with with a very rapid heart rate, called in King County Medics, who treated and then transported the man to MAMC.

Jan. 26

Aid call: 7:10 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a female with a cut, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC for further evaluation.
