June 6

Aid call: 5:13 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped an elderly woman complaining of abdominal pain before a private ambulance transported her to to Valley Medical Center.

June 7

Natural gas leak: 3:58 p.m., (Lea Hill). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to a natural gas leak where they saw a partially demolished house that had fallen and struck the gas meter, breaking the gas line prior to the meter valve. The residential gas line leaked natural gas for about a half-hour until Puget Sound Energy (PSE) arrived to cap the line. VRFA crew members removed the two workers from the area, established a safe perimeter, and provided standby support for the PSE workers during the shutoff phase of the incident. The City of Auburn Building Department was notified of the situation.

Aid call: 7:21 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a south Auburn home to help a man who had lost consciousness, treated him and then King County Medics transported him to Auburn Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in stable condition.

June 9

Car fire: 6 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a long dirt road off Kersey Way at about the 4900 block. Some 200 yards off the road was a vehicle that appeared to have caught fire after being pushed down a steep slope into the woods. Engine 33 extinguished the fire. The South King Fire Investigation Task Force is investigating the fire.

June 10

Aid call: 8:20 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to an aid call near the 2000 block of 28th Street Southeast. Initial crews found a man who had suffered a possible first-time seizure. After initial evaluation and treatment, King County Medics transported the patient to ARMC.

June 11

Aid call: 10:46 a.m., (Pacific). Firefighters helped a woman complaining of a possible infection, then a private ambulance transported her to ARMC.

Aid call: 12:55 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters help an elderly male hospice patient back into bed. The man remained at home.
