The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 194 calls for service between March 3 and 9, among them the following:

March 3

Aid call: 10:09 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters treated a man who’d been complaining of fever and chills, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

March 4

Aid call: 8:41 a.m , (Lea Hill). After firefighters treated a woman in the throes of an anxiety attack, a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

March 5

Mudslide: 9:03 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters used shovels to clear away a mudslide that had partially blocked one lane of Highway 181.

March 6

Aid call: 8:15 a.m., (Lakeland Hills). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help a woman who may have been having an allergic reaction, but personnel found the woman speaking and breathing just fine without any signs of a reaction. After firefighters evaluated the woman, they left her at home with her husband.

March 7

Aid call: 11:15 a.m., (Auburn). After firefighters helped a teenage boy who had fainted, he decided to stay at home with his parents.

March 8

Commercial fire: 3:21 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a wall fire within a commercial warehouse in the 150 block of Stewart Road confined the fire, then extinguished it with minimal damage to the business. Fire investigators determined that an electrical problem had been to blame.

March 9

Aid call: 1:42 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters, King County Medic One and Auburn PD responded to a young man who’d sustained injuries in an assault. After helping the young man, firefighters transported him to MAMC for more evaluation.
