Aug. 29

Aid call: 10:46 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters helped an older woman back into her chair after she fell and couldn’t get herself back up and into the seat. Having checked her for injuries — she had none — firefighters left the woman at home with a caregiver.

Aug. 30

Accident: 10:32 p.m., (Pacific). While firefighters were helping a man who was suffering from abdominal pain on the shoulder of Highway 167, four cars collided nearby in the southbound lanes of the highway. Firefighters quickly assessed the wreck scene while they continued their care of the man. A private car transported the man to a local hospital, and the Washington State Patrol took over the accident scene.

Aug. 31

Bike accident: 12:14 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters treated a woman who had fallen off her bicycle and injured her wrist, and a private ambulance transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Sept. 1

Aid call: 2:19 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a woman who was complaining of abdominal pain, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Sept. 2

Aid call: 1:00 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a man who was unconscious from a drug overdose, and a private ambulance transported him to MAMC.

Sept. 3

Vehicle fire: 5:56 p.m., (Auburn). Having arrived at a vehicle fire, firefighters found the driver had already extinguished the fire himself. Investigation traced the fire to a mechanical failure.

Sept. 4

Aid call: 9:11 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters responded to a man who was experiencing complications from MS, and a private ambulance transported him to Virginia Mason Medical Center.
