For the Reporter

The Valley Regional Fire Authority and the Kent Fire Department have joined an effort with other agencies to better safeguard children from falling from upper story windows.

Falls from windows are entirely preventable. Central Region EMS and Trauma Council, Safe Kids and their partners want to help families keep kids safe by installing window stops.

Beginning May 21, families can get free Kidco Window Stops at the following three fire stations in the Kent-Auburn area, while supplies last. Families outside of King County or not able to attend can order discounted stops or guards at SafeBeginnings.com.
