Dr. Jolene Harlow, a Kent native, Auburn resident and Federal Way doctor of chiropractic, was recently named Volunteer of the Year by the Washington State Chiropractic Association (WSCA).

Harlow was presented with the award at the WSCA Annual Conference on Oct. 10 at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center in Seattle. The 1,000-member WSCA is the only statewide association that represents the chiropractic profession in Washington.

Harlow practices at Northwest Wellness, 34730 Pacific Highway S. in Federal Way. She graduated as valedictorian of her 2007 class at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, Calif.

“It is such an honor to be recognized among the people within chiropractic who dedicate so much of their time,” Harlow said. “That makes this award even more special.”

She serves as co-chair of the WSCA Sports Council, where, as a volunteer, she organizes stations at sporting events to provide chiropractic adjustments to athletes.
