A Shell Gas Station clerk shot and killed a teenager who attempted to rob the gas station on Aug. 1, according to the Auburn Police Department.
At 11:46 p.m. Aug. 1, Auburn police were dispatched to the Shell Gas Station on 2nd Street and Auburn Way South. When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old man who was dead from a gunshot wound, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Officers investigated the incident and learned that the 19-year-old, who was armed with a gun, tried to rob the store but was shot by the worker, who was also armed.
The clerk has been fully cooperating with the Auburn police while they investigate the shooting.
