Alice Anna Webb

Passed away July 13, 2010 in her daughter’s home in Auburn, Washington at the age of 90. Alice was born in Huron, South Dakota September 12, 1919. Alice Anna grew up on a farm near Fulton, South Dakota. She taught school for 19 years at many rural schools in South Dakota and also in Rapid City, South Dakota and Billings, Montana. Alice was active in PTA, Girl Scouts, social clubs and all school organizations, and taught Bible school in the summers. She was married to James Roland Webb January 26, 1941 in Haywarden, Iowa. She loved to go for longer rides, eating out and short trips. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, bowling, doing crosswords and being with family and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, a son, grandson, and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Judy Harley from Scotland, South Dakota, and Sue Pilemalm and her husband Gert Pilemalm from Auburn, Washington; six grandchildren; Deborah Schock, Jim Harley, Tom Harley, Michael Harley, Roland Pilemalm, and Kevin Pilemalm, 9 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Weeks Enumclaw Funeral home, 1810 Wells Street Enumclaw Washington, Saturday, July 24 at 11a.m. A reception will follow at the same location.
