Arleta June Baker was born June 20, 1926 in Dallas, Oregon and passed away March 16, 2011 in Auburn, Washington. Arleta married Louis Baker in 1948 and graduated from Walla Walla College in 1949. She was guidance counselor at Auburn High School for 26 years, retiring in 1982. Arleta enjoyed competitive golf and bowling on the Auburn City League. She was a member of the Auburn Seventh-Day Adventist Church since 1949 and played the organ, was active in church choir and choral groups. Arleta’s talents included a flair for home decorating and playing her piano, and gardening. Arleta is survived by her husband Louis of 62 years, daughter; Cheri (Duane) Woods, son; Michael (Bunny) Baker, four grandchildren: Melanie Olson, Angela Woods, Andrew Baker, and Warren Baker, as well as 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
