Donald Yuratich

Donald Yuratich of Auburn, WA, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2013. He was born on March 7, 1931 in West Seattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Isabelle Yuratich, and first wife, Anna S. Yuratich.

Don is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jean, children Lisa Keyes (Lee), Donny Yuratich, Kim Covlin (Klaudia), Greg Covlin, Kari Jutte (Ron), sister Barbara Shackelford (Don), 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Don grew up in Auburn and attended Auburn High School where he lettered in many sports. He joined the Navy in 1951 and served on the USS Passig in the Korean War. He lived in Port Sulphur, LA from 1955-1988 where he worked as a gauger/supervisor in the oil industry. He loved coaching Little League Baseball and was a respected coach and mentor. Above all, Don was an extraordinarily devoted family man and friend. He leaves a legacy of love, kindness, generosity and laughter, and he will be greatly missed.

Interment at Tahoma National Cemetery and a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. on November 29, 2013 at the Rio Verde hall in Auburn.
