Doris Kindel Jennings
Doris Kindel Jennings was born in Canadian, Texas on October 30, 1921. She died in Auburn, Washington on November 29, 2009 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. A U.S. Army sergeant during World War II, Doris was a charter member of the Women In Military Service for America Memorial in Washington, D.C. Doris was active in Eastern Star and the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary. She is survived by her oldest sister Alys, two sons Gary and Jeff, a daughter Teresa, a daughter-in-law, Debby, four granddaughters Sarah, D’Ann, Aubrey and Hayley, two grandsons by marriage, Jimmy and Nicholi, and a great-grandson Jackson.A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Yahn & Son Funeral Home in Auburn, Washington. A short reception will follow the service. Remembrances to the Parkinson Research Foundation or a charity of your choice.
