Edward Anthony Carpenter

Edward Anthony Carpenter, 44, of Auburn, WA, died on April 7, 2011. Born to Lois Frances Parks and Paul Edward Carpenter on June 9, 1966 in Auburn, WA, he graduated from Monroe High School in 1984, and then served for three years in the U.S. Army. He met his wife, Christy, in 1989 and they married in 1994, returning at that time to Auburn and together raising a family there for the last 17 years. He worked as a technical drafter for LMI Aerospace in Auburn for 14 years. Ed was a big guy with a big personality and big ideas. Knowledgeable and always willing to help, he was an active father, participating in his children’s various sports activities, and enjoying camping, fishing, biking, and kayaking. He is survived by his wife, Christy, daughter Rowan, and son Beckett; his mother, Lois McGraw, of Grants Pass, OR; his father, Paul E. Carpenter, of Rochester, WA; his grandmother, Clara Cavanaugh of Bothell, WA; his brother, Fred Carpenter, of Lakewood, WA; his brother, Paul E. Carpenter, Jr., of Mulvane, KS; and his sister, Jennifer Trivett, of Grants Pass, OR. Services were held on April 16, 2011, and Ed was laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington, WA.
