Evelyn A. Rosquita

Evelyn Aguilar Martinez was born on December 24, 1930 in Seattle, Washington to Amando and Lourdes (Aguilar) Martinez. She grew up in the Valley area except for 4 years in the Sacred Heart Orphanage in Seattle while her father was working in California. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1949 and was married to Crispin Rosquita for 48 years until his death in 1998. Together they raised three children and her two half sisters. Pacific was her home for the last 50 years. Evelyn retired from Heath-Tecna in 1992 after 33 years in lay up and production and later became active in Messiah Lutheran’s knitting and quilting groups where she faithfully attended. She loved her family and enjoyed all their activities. She will be greatly missed by her son, Paul Rosquita of Valencia, California, Marissa Armstrong (Jim) of Auburn, Elissa Sahlin (Ken) of Auburn, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, sisters Sharra Mastroianni (David) & family of Redmond and Sunne Hill (Byron) & family of Crowley, Texas; niece & grandniece Shelly and Madison Vincent of Las Vegas, Nevada and others with close family ties. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Lupe Martinez. A memorial service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 410 H St. NE, Auburn, WA 98002 on Thursday, June 16 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Group Health Hospice Foundation, PO Box 34015 Seattle, WA 98124 or Messiah Lutheran Church.
