Homer Glenn McElreath, born in Jacksonville, FL on January 26, 1915 to parents, Samuel and Frankie McElreath. Homer passed away on September 25, 2012 at the age of 97 in Spokane, WA.He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Evelyn, who passed away in 2008. He is survived by two children, Larry (Sue) of Spokane, Linda Kellem (George) of Lake Havasu, AZ; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jack Relyea of Seattle, and nephew-in-law, Stan Relyea (Cheri) and family of Mt. Vernon, WA.Homer graduated from Easton High School in 1935 and married Evelyn on November 24, 1938 in Sedro Woolley, WA, and worked for the Northern Pacific/Burlington Northern Railroad in Auburn as an engineer for 45 years. He loved to fish and do carpentry projects in his spare time and belonged to the F.O.E. in Auburn. For the last four years he has been in the care of his loving granddaughter, Amy, of Spokane. A Committal Service will be held at Mt. View Cemetery in Auburn, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, Spokane, WA
