Jeannette Clark passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 8th, 2009. She courageously waged a seven year battle with cancer and now joins her loving husband, Arthur L. Clark, who preceded her in death in 1998. Jeannette was born in Tacoma, Washington on June 18th, 1930. She graduated from Lincoln High School of Tacoma in 1948. She married Arthur June 5th, 1953 and enjoyed 45 wonderful years of marriage before his passing. She was actively involved in raising her four children, tirelessly providing a foundation of love and support. She served as President of the P.T.A. while her children were in school. She also worked as an office manager at her husband’s Optometry business.She is survived by her son Stephen Clark and daughter-in-law Terri of Auburn; daughter, Karen Clark of Auburn; son Donald Clark and daughter-in-law Jean of Enumclaw; son Robert Clark and daughter-in-law Renee of Auburn; eight grandchildren: Kim, Joan, Amber, Marisa, Justin, Brandon, Bryan, and Jessica; and two great-grandchildren: Sydney, and Sophie; sister Phyllis and her husband Jack Robbins and brother Jim Jackson. There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 16th 2009 at 2:00 pm at Auburn Mountain View Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Jeannette’s life following the service at 3305 Scenic Drive SE-Auburn, Washington.The family wishes in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle.
