Marveene June Erikson Hahn was born June 1, 1921 in Seattle, WA and passed away on March 1, 2010 in Auburn, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frederick L. Hahn, MD, and survived by her two sons Larry (Debbie) and Greg (Kristin); four grandchildren, Brian (Julie), Jason, Tyler and Karly Wighton (Shane); three great-grandsons, Austin, Dillon, and Justin and niece Debbie Rob Ingersol (Doug). Marveene grew up in Bremerton, Washington where her father and mother started, owned and operated Bremerton Oil Delivery, and later an appliance store. Marveene began playing the violin at nine years of age and became an accomplished soloist in high school and at Walla Walla College. While attending college, she met Fred and they were married in Seattle in 1943. After Fred graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1948, and served in the Korean War, the couple moved to Auburn where Fred began his medical practice in what eventually became Auburn Doctors’ Clinic. Marveene was a homemaker raising their two sons, an avid golfer and member of Meridian Valley CC, and enjoyed snow skiing and close friends. Services were held Saturday, July 10, at Price-Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Inurment was at Tahoma National Cemetery. Online sentiments may be journaled at www.price-heltonfuneralhome.
