Mary S. Thornton

Of Auburn, WA passed away on February 22, 2011. She was 92. Born Mary Kimbell Smalley April 24, 1918 in Perham, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Degree in Nursing. She is preceded in death by first husband Billy Reed and son Billy Jr. as well as her late husband Alden F. Thornton. She is survived by her children Ann Reed, Joyce Smith Upham, Dawn Delducca, six grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many who knew her as the “Church Grandmother”. There will be a celebration of her life at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Auburn, WA at 2:00PM on Sunday March 13, 2011.
