Mollie Ann Karen (Owen) Manning | Obituary

September 24, 1944 – June 17, 2025

Mollie Ann Karen Manning, née Owen, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 17, 2025, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 80 years old.

Mollie was born on September 24, 1944, in Yakima, Washington, to Clifford Wallace Owen and Velma Conklin Owen. The youngest of four children, she spent her early years in central Washington before eventually settling in the Puget Sound region.

She lived for more than thirty years in Federal Way, Washington, with her husband, Vard Patrick Manning, who preceded her in death in October 2023. For the last 18 months of her life, Mollie resided in an adult family home in Auburn, where she was cared for with love and compassion.

Mollie worked as a waitress for most of her life, bringing warmth and care to those she served. In her later years, she found great pride in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and working at a memory care facility—offering the same kind of support she would one day need herself.

She is survived by her three children, Andrew Estep, Tammy Reno, and Terisa Clevesy; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Her legacy endures in the lives she touched and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life.

Her life will be celebrated at a small family gathering.
