Thank you, Christyl Kennedy, for putting it to the blotters section. As a citizen of this town I don’t think it’s cute or funny about the crime around here. It’s not cute or funny to have your homes broken into, cars smashed by drunken drivers down these dark streets, to be followed on walks by strange men living in Les Gove Park, neighbors stabbing each other, and all the horrible things we endure around these neighborhoods.

If anything, the paper should be giving advice and concern on how to make this place safer. It’s no laughing matter to see neighbors moving their families out all the time or to feel frightened constantly in your own home.

You know the old saying, Auburn Not What You’d Expect? Maybe it should be changed to Awful What You Can Expect.
