In November, nearly 6,500 people filed for unemployment benefits within the 31st Legislative District. An Italian jury last week found University of Washington student Amanda Knox and her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito guilty in the stabbing death of British exchange student Meredith Kercher.
