Trouble with Darcy

After watching the recent Dave Reichert-Darcy Burner debate, I was struck by the attitude of both incumbent and challenger.

After watching the recent Dave Reichert-Darcy Burner debate, I was struck by the attitude of both incumbent and challenger.

Reichert was speaking from knowledge of what is actually going on in a very Democratic Congress. Contrary to Burner’s comments, he is vastly more active than she wants one to believe.

Burner throughout the entire evening spoke with an air that I had thought only Adam Smith could – an air of over-inflated ego, and that only she could work well with a Democratic Congress.

I feel that sending another Democrat to bolster a Congress that already holds a good majority and knowing that this Congress is the least productive Congress, probably in our history, is ridiculous. This Congress obviously needs a change, but the change is needed in the leadership of both the House and the Senate.

Darcy’s attitude would further a division among the Representatives and deepen the do-nothing attitude that persists.
