AUBURN GYMNASIUM

AUBURN PARKS AND RECREATION OPEN GYM HOURS: The newly opened PRAB Gymnasium, located at Les Gove Park at 910 9th St. S.E., hosts open gym schedules for youth and adults. Open gym for children in grades 6-12 run from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. daily. Cost is $1 per day, $10 per month or $25 for a quarterly pass. The gym is also open for adults from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Monday and Wednesday the gym features pickleball and basketball, Tuesday and Thursday are volleyball and basketball. TODDLER INDOOR PLAYGROUND: The Toddler Indoor Playground is now open for ages 5 and under. Balls, games, mats, riding toys, climbing toys and more are available at the playground. The facility is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:30-11a, and Saturdays from 9-10:30 a.m. Cost is $2 per child per session, $1 per additional child. No more than three children per adult. No registration required. Parent or caregiver must provide supervision of children at all times. Closed January 16. AUBURN PARKS GIRLS VOLLEYBALL FOR GRADES 4-8: Auburn Parks will offer two recreational volleyball leagues for girls beginning Feb. 2. Both leagues will play eight matches, beginning March 8. Each match will be best of three, with rally scoring. Cost for grades 4-5 is $40, $50 after Jan. 18. Cost for grades 6-8 is $50, $60 after Jan. 18. AUBURN PARKS POLAR BEAR FLAG FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT JAN 27-29: This tournament will feature six player per side teams playing pass-only flag football on a modified field with an intermediate sized football. Each team is guaranteed three games with three divisions offered, an upper-level, a middle-level and a recreational-level. Games will be played at the Game Farm Park turf fields. ADULT FLAG FOOTBALL WINTER LEAGUE: This league, featuring six player per side, begins Feb. 19. Teams will play eight league games, with top teams in the three divisions earning postseason games. BASKETBALL

AUBURN PARKS ADULT SPRING LEAGUE BASKETBALL: Two basketball leagues will be offered for adults beginning April 3 at Green River Community College. This is a call-your-own league with each team playing 10 games. A score keeper will be assigned to each game. Cost of the league is $175 per team, $200 after March 7.  A mandatory coaches meeting will be conducted March 30. AUBURN PARKS FUTSAL INDOOR SOCCER: Futsal is 5 on 5 indoor soccer played on a basketball court. This is an unofficiated league no awards, standings or playoffs. Field players must be 2 male & 2 female, goalie can be of either gender. All players must be a minimum of 18 years old. HOCKEY

SNO-KING BEGINNERS PROGRAM: The Sno-King Junior Thunderbirds will offer a year-round, beginners-level program for boys and girls ages 5-10. No skating experience is necessary. The program will be on Saturdays at Castle Ice in the Renton Highlands, or at Kingsgate Ice Arena in Kirkland. Players are welcome to join at any time. ICE SKATING

LEARN TO SKATE CLASSES: An eight-week series with group and private lessons for boys, girls and adults is being offered at KENT VALLEY ICE CENTRE. Instruction is based on criteria set forth by the Ice Skating Institute. Skating classes are a solid starting point for those interested in figure skating or hockey. Teams begin practice May 29. Each team will play eight games beginning June 18. The league runs until July 30, for Pinto, July 31 for Pigtail Fastpitch. Cost is $50 for Pinto, $60 after May 2. This program is designed to teach participants fundamentals such as sportsmanship, conditioning and leadership. Participants will compete in regional meets in June and July. AUBURN PARKS AKI-JUJITSU: The class encompasses basic training in three unique contemporary martial disciplines. Aikido, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Combative Martial Arts. AUBURN PARKS BALLERINA ENCHANTMENT DANCE CLASS: For ages 3 to 5. This class will allow participants to experience the pure joy and enchantment of being a swan princess, sugar plum fairy or anything else a ballerina could dream or imagine. Classes are from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., at the Les Gove Park Building. Fee for the class is $66 for residents, $83 for nonresidents.
