Auburn boys end season with 84-66 loss to SPSL North 4A rival Kentridge | Boys Basketball

Kentridge and Auburn have been battling all season.
This past Saturday, they met for the final time this season with the Chargers defeating the Trojans 84-66 in the Washington State Boys 4A Hardwood Classic at Jackson High School in Everett.
The win moves the Chargers on to the semi-finals this week at the Tacoma Dome and sends the No. 4 Trojans home with a 21-7 overall record on the season.
No. 8-ranked Kentridge (20-8) wasted no time putting a stamp on the teams’ fourth meeting of the season, blasting out to a 46-32 lead at the half and never looking back.
Gonzaga-bound senior Gary Bell led the Chargers with a game-high 27 points, with teammates Jawan Stepney and Brendan Westendorg adding 16.
The Chargers were deadly from behind the 3-point arc, hitting 13-of-23 from downtown.
Auburn was led by Montana-bound senior Kevin Henderson’s 25 points. Senior Iszia Johnson added 21 points.
The game was the fourth meeting of the South Puget Sound League North 4A rivals, with both teams winning two contests.
