The Auburn Trojan girls tennis team defeated Auburn Riverside this past week, notching a 4-1 win over their district rivals.

The Trojans were led by No. 1 singles Sandy Dennett who beat Raven Corinne Lo 6-0, 6-0. Peyton Prothero defeated Irina Yakimchuk 6-0, 6-2 in No. 2 singles play.

In the No. 1 doubles match Mariah Siemion and Kristi Holley were victorious over Tessa Goodwin and Megan McCabe 6-2, 6-2.

Also notching a doubles win for Auburn were the No. 2 team of Sandi Mihaylova and Meghan Bruya who beat Auburn Riverside’s Rachel Morgan and Jane Hahn 6-1, 6-4.

Auburn Riverside’s lone win came in the No. 3 doubles match where Ravens Paige Crawford and Krysten Ryan beat Brittany Larson and Alexia Amann 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
