The Auburn Mountainview girls easily downed South Puget Sound League 3A rival Enumclaw 49-37 Wednesday in the first round of the SPSL/Seamount League Sub-District 3A tournament. The Lions (17-4) were led by Maddie Taylor's 12 points, with Samantha DePiano chipping in with 10 points.

The Lions (17-4) were led by Maddie Taylor’s 12 points, with Samantha DePiano chipping in with 10 points.

Ellie Alfrey added eight points and Maddie Newell had six.

The Hornets (11-11) were led by Katie Carlson’s game-high 14 points.

The win earns Auburn Mountainview a shot at the sub-district title with a 7 p.m. Friday home game against Kennedy Catholic (17-4) for the No. 1 seed into the district tourney, which begins next Wednesday.
