Auburn Mountainview boys open with 3-1 win over White River, Auburn ties Kentridge 2-2 and Riverside blanks Kent-Meridian 5-0 | Boys Soccer

The Auburn Mountainview boys soccer team started their 2010 campaign with a 3-1 win over White River, Tuesday night at Auburn Mountainview.

White River took the lead at the 42-minute mark with an unassisted goal from Diego Pelayo.

The Lions responded just three minutes later, when Tommy Finseth scored on a penalty kick, tying the game up at 1-1.

Issak Cardoza added another goal 61-minutes in, with an assist from Sergey Rubakha, and Aldo Zamora put the game out of reach with an unassisted goal with 12-minutes left in the game.

The Lions will travel to Capital at 7 p.m. this Tuesday for a nonleague match.

ELSEWHERE: The Auburn boys soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie against Kentridge this past Tuesday at Auburn Memorial Stadium.

Brandon Klamke and Kyle Raad both had goals for the Trojans, with Alex Legaulp scoring twice for the Chargers. Scott Geffre and Sam Pielher both added assists for Kentridge… The Auburn Riverside boys opened their season with a 5-0 win over Kent-Meridian this past Tuesday. The Ravens had goals from Adam Zeman, Kevin Wien, John Monroy, Steven Fairbanks and John Buell. Monroy, Cameron Howard and Sean Norgard added assists.
