Auburn Mountainview had little trouble handling rival Enumclaw on Tuesday, downing the Hornets 54-36 in a South Puget Sound League 3A game at Auburn Mountainview High School.
The Lions (8-1 league, 16-4 overall) held Enumclaw (4-3, 11-6) to just 13 first-half points, going into the intermission with a 25-point lead.
Seniors Aalia Braboy and Caitlin Carr had 17 points each to lead the Lions. Senior Erika Lombardo added 10 points.
The Lions close out the regular season at 7 p.m. Thursday against Decatur (3-6, 6-11) on their home floor.
ALSO: The No. 7 Auburn Riverside (11-1, 15-1) continued its march toward the postseason with a 53-38 SPSL North 4A home win against Jefferson (4-9, 6-11) on Tuesday. Kendall Foster had a game-high 13 points with Jalea Crump adding 12 and Ilona Snyder chipping in with 10 points. The Ravens will host second-ranked Mount Rainier at 7:30 tonight. … Auburn, whose last game was a 34-27 win over Jefferson last Saturday, will play Kentlake (3-9, 4-12) at 7:30 tonight. The Trojans and Ravens will square off at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Auburn.
