Auburn Mountainview’s Christian Rotter named SPSL 3A Cross Country Athlete of the Year

Auburn Mountainview sophomore Christian Rotter was named the South Puget Sound League 3A Cross Country Athlete of the Year this past week. Rotter capped his season with a 16th-place finish at the Washington State 3A Boys Cross Country Championships.

Rotter capped his season with a 16th-place finish at the Washington State 3A Boys Cross Country Championships.

Rotter was also named to the all-SPSL 3A first team roster.

Also honored was Lion teammate Jonah Zucati who was named to the all league second team.

Zucati was 89th at the state meet.

Enumclaw won the league’s Team Sportsmanship award and Lakes’ Joe Clark was named Coach of the Year.

ALSO: Auburn Mountainview’s Allison Hammer was chosen to the all-SPSL 3A second team. The Lion senior raced to a 63rd-place finish at the girls 3A race this season.

Enumclaw’s Aleea Gwerder was named the league’s Athlete of the Year and Peninsula coach Joel Wingard was awarded Coach of the Year honors.

Peninsula was chosen as winners of the Team Sportmanship Award.
