Auburn Riverside blasts Curtis 4-1 | Girls prep tennis

The Auburn Riverside girls tennis team easily handled Curtis on Friday, earning a 4-1 team win. The Ravens got victories from No. 2 singles Jamilia Lopez who downed Jami Tran with scores of 6-2, 6-2. In No. 1 doubles, Carson Heilborn and Sydnie LaValley continued their winning ways, beating Curtis' Jeannie Tran and Yen Cho 6-0, 6-1 to remain undefeated at 7-0.

Auburn Riverside’s No. 2 doubles Lindsey Sanborn and Jessica Fullbright also remained undefeated at 7-0 with a victory over Alimia Ward and Selema Cudney 6-1, 6-2.

The Ravens got the final victory of the match at No. 3 doubles with Kaitlyn Clarkston and Diana Yakimchuk felling Alicia Zhen and Srlena Dunn 6-1, 6-2.

Curtis’ lone victory came at No. 1 singles with Morgan Fawcett beating Jessie Swofford 6-0, 6-1.
