The Auburn Riverside girls fastpitch team ended its season last Saturday, going 1-2 at the West Central/Southwest District 4A tournament at Tacoma's Sprinker Recreation Center.

The Auburn Riverside girls fastpitch team ended its season last Saturday, going 1-2 at the West Central/Southwest District 4A tournament at Tacoma’s Sprinker Recreation Center.

The Ravens opened the tournament with an 8-7, extra-inning loss to Rogers of Puyallup last Friday.

Finding itself in a 4-2 hole going into the seventh inning, Auburn Riverside battled back with a four-run inning, going up 6-2. Rogers responded with two runs in its half of the seventh, sending the game into extra innings.

Jamie Koenig had two RBIs and a triple with Hannah Melick adding a triple for the Ravens.

Alyssa Jarmen was tagged with the loss for the Ravens, and Ashley Maxwell earned the win for the Rams.

Rogers’ Sydnee Norris had five RBIs.

In the second round Friday, Auburn Riverside stayed alive with a 3-2 victory over South Kitsap.

Jarmen earned the win from the circle, and Koenig belted a home run.

On Saturday, the Ravens lost 4-3 in extra innings to Stadium.Jarmen had two hits from the plate. Ashly Mundo scored two runs.

The Ravens ended the season with a 15-8 record.
