Auburn Riverside boys race to third-place finish at 4A state meet | Boys Cross Country

Raven junior Korey Krotzer and the Auburn Riverside boys cross country team ran their way to a third place team finish at the Washington State 4A Boys championship meet at Sun Willow Golf Course in Pasco, Saturday.

Krotzer ran a 15-minute, 33-second time to snag fourth place at the meet. Senior Nic Lawrence ran a 16:11 to help the team with a 28th-place finish and senior Jeff Miles grabbed a 34th-place finish with a 16:17 time.

Senior Keefe Hanson contributed a 37th-place, 16:19 finish and junior Sam Bailey was 69th with a 16:40. Sophomore Trevor Love and senior Sklar Cowan rounded out Raven finishers with 96th-place, 17:00 and 116th-place, 17:13 finishes respectively.

Lewis and Clark’s Kenji Bierig was first in the individual race with a blistering 15:09 time. Andrew Gardner of Mead was second with a 15:27 and Aaron Nelson from Walla Walla was third with a 15:31 time.

In the team competition Eisenhower was first with 73 points with Lewis and Clark grabbing second with 82 points.

Auburn Riverside finished with 112 team points.

ALSO: In the 3A state competition Auburn Mountainview sophomore Chris Scharer finished 61st with a 16:55 time. Lion junior Dylan Summerlin was 113th with a 17:48 finish.
