Auburn Riverside boys take home sixth at Tacoma Invitational | Track and Field

The Auburn Riverside boys got a big day out of senior Wilford DeLaRosa – who took home a first place in the long jump and a fourth place in the triple jump – helping the Ravens grab sixth-place in the team competition at the Tacoma Invitational at the Lincoln Bowl on Saturday.

DeLaRosa notched a 21-feet, 5-inch leap in the long jump and had a 42-10-00 in the triple.

Junior Dylan Brown was second in the 1,600 meter, posting a 4-minute, 32.30-second time.

Auburn Riverside finished with 37 team points, with Peninsula grabbing first in the team competition with 61 points.

ALSO: The Auburn boys team finished 10th at the Tacoma Invite with 28 team points. Nick Conlan and Danny Shelton both grabbed first-place finishes in the shot put and discus respectively. Conlan had a 145-10 toss to grab the gold and Shelton had a 52.09 put. Teammate Max Pratt was second in the javelin with a 161.06… The Auburn Riverside girls team was ninth place overall with 31 points. Cassidy Brown finished third in the 800 with a 2:26.96 finish and was second in the 1,600 with a 5:23.52. Kentwood was first in the team competition with 97 points… The Auburn girls were 26th with eight points.
