Hannah Melick’s 3-of-3 performance from the plate for Auburn Riverside was not enough to lift the Ravens past Kentwood on Friday.
The Conquerors improved to 5-5 in the South Puget Sound League North 4A fastpitch race with the 4-3 win, while the Ravens fell to 1-6.
Melick also had a home run and scored twice for Auburn Riverside. Alyssa Jarmin had four strikeouts and was tagged with the loss.
For Kentwood, Bailey Marshall was 2-of-3 from the plate with two RBI, a run and a home run.
The Ravens will play at Kentridge at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Auburn Mountainview (8-2 league, 9-3 overall) snagged another SPSL 3A league win on Friday with a 6-3 victory over White River. Kristin Herren led the team with 3-of-4 hitting with two runs, two RBI and two triples. On the mound, Herren got her fifth win of the season. Alleyah Amendariz got the save with five strikeouts and four walks in two and two-thirds innings pitched. Deanna Colburn added two RBIs. The Lions will take on the first-place Bonney Lake (9-1, 10-2) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Auburn Mountainview High School.
