Auburn Riverside girls 2-0 on season with 50-28 win over Kentlake | Prep girls basketball

Auburn Riverside's Shantell Jackson had a game-high 19 points to lead the Ravens to a 50-28 South Puget Sound League North 4A victory at Kentlake on Friday. The Ravens built on a slim 19-15 halftime lead with a 20-point third quarter explosion. Auburn Riverside (0-1 league, 0-2 overall) held Kentlake (0-1, 0-3) to just 13 points in the second half.

Brittani Williams chipped in with eight points for the Ravens and Payton Dunne and Ilona Snyder had seven points apiece.

Deepeka Taya led the Falcons with eight points.

Auburn Riverside hosts district rival Auburn Mountainview (0-2 overall) in the Les Schwab Tipoff Classic today at Auburn Riverside High School.

ALSO: The Auburn (0-1, 1-1) girls were held to just six second half points in a 65-16 loss to Mount Rainier (1-0, 2-0) Friday at Auburn High School. Brittany McPhee had a game-high 34 points for the Rams with Jordan McPhee adding 11 points. Seandalynn Faleagafulu had seven points for the Trojans. Auburn will travel to Kentridge (1-0, 1-0) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
