Auburn Riverside girls defeat Auburn 50-28, No. 7 Auburn Mountainview cruises by No. 5 Lakes | Girls Prep Basketball

Auburn Riverside’s Jalea Crump and Kendall Foster each had 15 points in the Raven’s 50-28 win over Auburn in South Puget Sound League North 4A action Friday night at Auburn Riverside High School.

The Ravens (7-1 league, 10-1 overall) shot out to a 24-12 first half lead and kept up the pressure to secure the win over their crosstown rival Trojans (3-5, 4-7).

Auburn’s Sienna Pollard had a game high 17 points in the contest.

Brittni Williams had seven points and Erin Bang and Karina Gee contributed six points apiece.

The Trojans will travel to Tahoma (4-4, 6-4) at 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday.

The Ravens will look to keep their seven game winning streak alive with a home game against Kentridge (4-4, 7-5) at 7:30 p.m. next Friday.

ALSO: The No. 7 ranked Auburn Mountainview girls had no trouble earning their second South Puget Sound League 3A win of the season with a 55-35 victory over No. 5 Lakes.

Seniors Aalia Braboy and Caitlin Carr both scored 17 points in the win for the Lions (2-0, 10-3). Hattie Kosko added nine points and Erika Lombardo had six.

The Lancers (0-2, 8-3) were led by Aubre Mitchell’s 16 points.

Auburn Mountainview will host Peninsula (0-1, 3-7) at 7 p.m. next Tuesday.
