Auburn Riverside tops Lakes 5-0 | Prep boys tennis

The Ravens opened play in the South Puget Sound League 3A league on Tuesday with a 5-0 win over Lakes. Colby Tong came out on top in the No. 1 singles match, putting away Lakes' Alex Huong 6-1, 6-1.

Colby Tong came out on top in the No. 1 singles match, putting away Lakes’ Alex Huong 6-1, 6-1.

Adrian Tong at No. 2 singles beat Lancer Adre Judd 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles the teams of Kyle Wuerlch and Aaron Nguyen (No. 1), Gustavo Racey and Connor Airis (No. 2) and Allen Acosta and Connor Wate (No. 3) all won in straight sets.

The Ravens (1-0) host Enumclaw (1-1) at the Auburn Riverside High School courts at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11.

ALSO: Auburn Mountainivew was blanked by Sumner 5-0 and Auburn fell to Bonney Lake 3-2 on Tuesday. The Trojans (0-1) will host Lakes (0-1) at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at Auburn High School. Auburn Mountainview (0-1)will travel to Bonney Lake (1-0) for a 3:30 p.m. match Sept. 11.
