Auburn's Lauren Thornquist – the South Puget Sound League Central 4A's Player of the Year – continues her fight for a berth into the Washington State 4A Girls Tennis Championships with an 11:30 a.m. match tomorrow against Tahoma's Maddie Turek at Auburn Riverside High School.

Auburn’s Lauren Thornquist – the South Puget Sound League Central 4A’s Player of the Year – continues her fight for a berth into the Washington State 4A Girls Tennis Championships with an 11:30 a.m. match tomorrow against Tahoma’s Maddie Turek at Auburn Riverside High School.

Thornquist finished the season with a loss in her first round match against Battleground’s Kylee Tyler-Breimon, 6-0, 6-2.

She rebounded in the consolation brackets with wins against Kentwood’s Megan Charlton (6-0, 6-0) and Kentlake’s Kara Ikeda, (6-3, 6-1).
