The Auburn girls basketball program honors longtime statistician Priscilla Wood before Saturday’s 7:30 home game against South Puget Sound League North 4A foe Kentridge.
Since 1974, Wood – who retires after this season – has been a constant for the girls program.
A retired Auburn High School teacher, Wood has compiled stats for the Trojans for 38 years as the team fought its way to two state titles, 16 league championships, 21 state tournament appearances and more than 635 wins.
According to coach Adam Ladage, Wood also brings cards to the players before each game and compiles season-end individual and team stat books for the girls.
“We would appreciate it if everyone who knows Pricilla, has seen Pricilla, or just wants to come honor a true inspiration to our children (and a lot of adults) could attend,” Ladage said of tonight’s ceremony.
Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
