Auburn’s Tanner continues winning ways at Rochester

Tyler Tanner picked up his third super late model stock car main event victory of the season at South Sound Speedway last Saturday night.

Tyler Tanner picked up his third super late model stock car main event victory of the season at Rochester’s South Sound Speedway last Saturday night.

Tanner drove his No. 65 Chevrolet to a half-lap victory around the 3/8th-mile oval, beating Bob Presley and Dan Obrist to the checkered flag.

Earlier in the evening, Tanner set quick time with a 13.71-second lap.

Tanner, 19, is a student at Arizona State University.

He returns to action next Saturday at Monroe’s Evergreen Speedway in preparation for an invitation to the July 29 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.
