BASEBALL: Auburn Riverside loses to Thomas Jefferson 7-4, Auburn shellacs Kent-Meridian 25-1 and Auburn Mountainview squeaks by Bonney Lake 2-1

The Auburn Riverside boys lost their fourth game of the season on Friday, falling 7-4 to Jefferson in South Puget Sound League North action.

The Raiders put together a four hit, five run fourth inning to snag a 5-0 lead in the contest.

The Ravens (0-2 SPSL, 1-4 overall) responded in the sixth inning putting up two-runs, with Tanner Fairweather driving home Michael Sherman and Jordan Hudson scoring on a Casey Allen single to right field.

Jefferson (2-1, 3-2) answered in the bottom of the sixth with two runs, putting the game out of reach for the Ravens.

Auburn Riverside added two runs in the seventh inning, with Sherwin doubling home R.J. Gius and Ryan Adams.

Pitcher Kyle Rogers was tagged for the loss in the game. Rogers gave up three earned runs on three hits in three innings and also had three strikeouts and two walks.

Sherwin had two RBIs on 3-of-4 hitting, with Fairweather adding an RBI on 1-for-1 hitting. Allen also had an RBI was 1-of-3 from the plate.

The Ravens left nine batters on base, with the Raiders stranding seven.
