The No. 3 doubles team of Rachel Wilson and Rachel Wood earned the lone victory for Auburn Riverside on Thursday, as the Ravens fell to Todd Beamer 4-1 in South Puget Sound League 4A Central girls tennis action.Wilson and Wood defeated Jenifer Tran and Taylor Verzosa with scores of 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.

In the singles matches, Titan Lindsey Tyson beat Raven No.1 Natalie Jones 6-2, 6-1 and Beamer No. 2 Nicole Bowman downed Like Garofalo 6-1, 6-1.

Jenny Hoefel and Kiele Bowman earned the No. 1 doubles win for the Titans over Auburn Riverside’s Breanna Bruil and Carson Heilborn with scores of 7-5, 6-1 and Alyssa Tyson and Tori Kaufman beat Ravens Sydnie LaValley and Lindsey Sanborn 6-2, 6-1 to grab the No. 2 doubles win.

The team loss puts Auburn Riverside’s record at 0-2 on the season. The Ravens will look for their first team win at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when they travel to Auburn.

ALSO: Auburn fell to 1-1 on the season with a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Jefferson on Thursday. No. 1 singles player Lauren Thornquist earned the Trojans lone victory, beating Michelle Lee 6-1, 6-1.
