Ravens, Trojans drop games

Carter Berry threw six scoreless innings, striking out 10, as Federal Way shut down Auburn Mountainview 1-0 in a North Puget Sound League Olympic baseball game Thursday on Lea Hill.

The Eagles improved to 3-1 in league, 6-3 overall. The Lions are 2-2 and 3-6.

Abiel Gonzales drove in the Eagles’ lone run in the first inning.

Nate Weeldreyer and Cooper White had Auburn Mountainview’s hits.

Nick Dublinski took the loss.

Todd Beamer 5, at Auburn Riverside 2: Ty Emmons homered and Giovani Parascondola doubled in a run, but it wasn’t enough as the Ravens (1-3, 4-5) dropped an NPSL Olympic game to the Titans (2-2, 3-5) on Thursday.

Auburn Riverside was limited to three hits.

At Enumclaw 9, Auburn 6: The Trojans (2-2, 2-7) rallied for six runs in the last two innings but fell short to the Hornets (4-0, 6-2) in NPSL Olympic play.

Connor Howat drove in two runs and leadoff hitter Evan Jilbert went 3 for 4 with two doubles for Auburn. Howat and Ethan Smetheram, who went 2 for 3, scored twice.
