GIRLS BASKETBALL: No. 1 Ravens beat No. 2 Lewis and Clark 65-58

No. 1 ranked 4A Auburn Riverside improved to 9-0 overall with a 65-58 victory over No. 2 Lewis and Clark Wednesday at Auburn Riverside High School.

Mercedes Wetmore scored a season high 25 points in the contest, as the Ravens held off a last quarter surge by the Tigers, who have won three of the last four 4A state titles.

Kat Cooper added 16 points and Brook Hinkens contributed 11 in the victory.

The Ravens will resume South Puget Sound League North 4A play this Tuesday, Jan. 4 against Jefferson.
